Oh tube tops. One of the only clothing items that means exactly what it sounds like (I mean does a camisole look anything like it sounds?) Tube tops are simple, cheap and convey casualness. They are pretty much the flip-flops of shirts. And I’m talking like $3 Old Navy flip-flops, not Rainbows, which is why they should not be worn in the office even on casual Friday.
First of all, unless you are super flat-chested they are usually not very supportive in the chestal area because they have a flimsy built-in bra or you wear a strapless bra which sticks out in weird places. Girls in the A-cup range don’t have this problem but pretty much everyone else looks very buxom and curvaceous in a tube top (which is why most women wear them in the first place) but this is not good for work. Plus, not only do they show a lot of skin at the top but often they can ride up on the bottom half and then you are exposing your stomach.
